ANCODS is committed to encourage communication about, and scholarly research on, the ANCODS collection and Dutch-Australian maritime connections through its associated institutes in both countries.

The ANCODS Research pages are dedicated to this purpose and will feature information on ANCODS research and related projects, new partners of the growing ANCODS network, and news items on the development of ANCODS and the collection itself.

Since ANCODS' inception, the Netherlands and Australian ANCODS institutes have played an active role in stimulating collaborative research projects centred on Dutch-Australian maritime links. This has occurred in the form of lectures held by staff members, the organisation of conferences and publication of the proceedings, the publication of ANCODS artefact catalogues, and the provision of academic and technical support for researchers.
